IMAGERY
Architectural Photography
“Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.” - Dorothea Lange (American documentary photographer, 1895-1965)
Images hold great meaning and encompass strong influence over architecture. Comparatively, little knowledge of recent architecture has been gained by ”real life” experience, rather the aesthetics of architecture is understood through the lens of a camera, the photographs in which it creates. The principal means of architectural photography is to communicate new ideas and processes that continually present innovative perspectives on buildings and the built environment.
Photocrafting
Photography is used as a means to record and preserve memories, tell a story, send messages and as a source of entertainment. Very few images are ever perfect in their raw state, and this is how photo crafting was born. Photo crafting otherwise known as retouching, is a process where unwanted objects and general visible imperfections are removed. This process assists in achieving a “picture perfect” result.
